12. Arizona Diamondbacks, 17-13, tied for 2nd in the NL West (ranked 18th last week)

The Diamondbacks got back in the win column Tuesday night, beating the Yankees 3-1 as Zack Greinke continues to lower his ERA to 3.72 after two consecutive starts without allowing an earned run. And the offense has been on a hot streak as well, scoring 5 runs or more in 6 of their 10 games, with surprise performances from Jarrod Dyson and Eduardo Escobar helping supplement the offense alongside Christian Walker and David Peralta. The Diamondbacks need more consistency from their rotation, but the offense has shown they can score runs, and the bullpen has been excellent.

11. New York Mets, 15-14, 2nd in the NL East (ranked 5th last week)

The Mets are just coming off a tough stretch of games against the Cardinals, Phillies, and Brewers, going 4-6 over their last 10 games. But despite the losing record, they remain just 1 game back of the Phillies for the division lead at the moment. 1B Pete Alonso and the Mets offense continues to produce large numbers but the pitching has been lackluster at best. New York’s entire rotation has swing-and-miss stuff, but what was once effectively wild, is now just wild as even Jacob deGrom has 7 walks in his last two starts after walking just three batters total on the season. The Mets starters are finally all healthy but are now underperforming, they fix the issues in the rotation and this team should back on track.
