28. San Francisco Giants, 12-18, last in the NL West (ranked 27th last week)

The Giants have played sloppy baseball as of late, losing 7 of their last 10 games, and were just swept by the Yankees and none of the games were close. Their bullpen is still the best in the league in terms of ERA, but their starters have a top 10 club in ERA as well, it’s the offense that can’t score runs. Their offense doesn’t have anyone on it batting above .250 and their top prospects are still years away from a Major League call-up. San Francisco should be sellers at the deadline this summer.

27. Kansas City Royals, 9-20, last in the AL Central (ranked 28th last week)

Danny Duffy is back in the rotation, hitting 95 mph during extended spring training, and outside of a home run he gave up to Albert Pujols, his return back was welcome by the Royals and their struggling pitching staff. Brian Dozier, Alex Gordon, and Whit Merrifield are the teams’ entire offense at the moment, and while they’re all off a great start, the rest of the team are essentially outs in the lineup. The Royals didn’t do much to move up in the rankings this week, outplaying a declining Giants team this week, but there won’t be much to cheer for in KC this summer.
