24. Los Angeles Angels, 13-17, tied for 4th in the AL West (ranked 23rd last week)

Tommy La Stella is the Angels current home-run leader with 7 longballs, as LA’s offense has picked up the pace lately, and their pitching staff is finally starting to show signs of life. Matt Harvey is coming off his best outing as an Angel and Tyler Skaggs returned from his IL stint and dominated in his first start back. Mike Trout continues his incredible start to the season, but the Angels need to get fully healthy – meaning Justin Upton, Zack Cozart, and most importantly Shohei Ohtani needs to return. Otherwise, the Angels will continue to sink further in an already tough AL West division.

23. Chicago White Sox, 4th in the AL Central (ranked 24th last week)

Yoan Moncada and Tim Anderson look like a budding-duo in the middle infield for the White Sox, combining for 12 home runs and 38 RBI. Chicago also pulled the plug on Ervin Santana after three miserable starts, designating him for assignment and clearing waivers Friday, but the staff isn’t much better outside of Santana with a 6.18 ERA – the worst in the league. Starter Reynaldo Lopez has strung together three strong outings in a row, striking out 14 Tigers in his most recent start. Only two games below .500 in a weak AL Central, if the White Sox can get better outings from starters like Carlos Rodon and Lucas Giolito (once he’s healthy), this could be a surprise breakout team. But first, they need their young arms to live up to their potential.
