High Salary Guards

Players costing over $8,333

Ben Simmons (vs TOR – $9,600): Needs 44.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.25 fantasy points against Toronto. Once more, I just don’t like Simmons in this series. If the Sixers are going to keep winning, it’ll be on the back of Butler like it was in Game 2. Simmons just can’t score the ball like the Sixers need him to score the ball. He’ll get numbers but probably end up disappointing once again. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.

Kyle Lowry (at PHI – $7,800): Needs 37.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 35.25 fantasy points against Philadelphia. Lowry is a fairly reliable option because he gets big minutes and plenty of opportunities. He’s a guy who should be around value because he can score and he will chip in with assists and a handful of rebounds. Don’t expect a huge game from him but you can expect a solid outing. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.

Jimmy Butler (vs TOR – $9,200): Needs 41.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 56.5 fantasy points against Toronto. Jimmy Butler was alive in Game 2. As I’ve said throughout, the Sixers need him to be great because he can get his own shot on the perimeter. Hopefully, Game 2 was a sign of things to come for him. But be a little cautious because he can bottom out. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
