High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,250

CJ McCollum (vs DEN – $6,600): Needs 30.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 36.5 fantasy points against Denver. McCollum looked more like himself I Game 2 but I still caution about his streakiness. Being in Portland should certainly help his game and we know he has a high ceiling. Hopefully, Game 2 is able to get him going a little bit because he can be unstoppable when he gets going. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Jamal Murray (at POR – $6,400): Needs 29.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 27.75 fantasy points against Portland. I expect Murray to play in this game because Murray rarely sits out a game, especially with this being a playoff game. It’ll be tough in Portland and he’s a streaky player, which is always the concern. But he should be around value at this salary. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Gary Harris (at POR – $4,900): Needs 22.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 17.25 fantasy points against Portland. Harris was down in Game 2 but this is when they will need him to step up. The Nuggets need a role player to be big in Game 3 and Harris is a guy who can deliver. The minutes will continue to be there for him and he remains at a good salary. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Malik Beasley (at POR – $3,800): Needs 17.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.75 fantasy points against Portland. Beasley has been solid in this series, he’s at a very good salary, and he continues to get strong minutes. I worry about the Denver role players on the road but Beasley won’t hurt you much at this salary. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
