FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – May 3, 2019
High Salary SG
Players costing over $6,667
Khris Middleton (at BOS – $7,500): Needs 32 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 36.9 fantasy points against Boston. Middleton is still the Boston killer. Until I see him miss a shot against the Celtics, I will continue to take him. Because he keeps delivering. Maybe. He has an off game with the series in Boston but I would not bank on it. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
CJ McCollum (vs DEN – $7,400): Needs 31.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 33.2 fantasy points against Denver. McCollum returned to form in Game 2 but I keep with. The same warning prior to that game. He’s a streaky player. And he didn’t even deliver a big game in Game 2. He just had a nice value game. Being at home should help him overall. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
High Value SG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Jaylen Brown (vs MIL – $5,300): Needs 22.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 25.7 fantasy points against Milwaukee. Brown has played well in this series and looks to be the top option over Jayson Tatum right now. The Celtics certainly need more out of Tatum if they hope to win this series. But until he shows he can step up, you can keep taking Brown with some confidence. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
Malik Beasley (at POR – $4,400): Needs 18.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.6 fantasy points against Portland. Beasley has played well in the series but as things move to Portland, I do question him a little bit. Gary Harris might be a slightly more reliable option if you want to spend a bit more money. But the minutes and opportunities will be there for Beasley. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
