FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – May 3, 2019
High Value PF
Players costing $6,667 or under
Jayson Tatum (vs MIL – $6,400): Needs 28 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 14.5 fantasy points against Milwaukee. It’s a weak night at the power forward position as everyone is under salary. This is a great position to save money and spend elsewhere. Tatum has to be better for the Celtics. It’s that simple. We know he can be. Better and this feels like a breakout game for him. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
Paul Millsap (at POR – $6,100): Needs 26.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37.2 fantasy points against Portland. Millsap has been excellent in this series but we’ve also seen this from him before. The Nuggets will need him to keep playing at this level, especially on the road. He can do it, but provide with some caution simply because he can fall off a cliff in a hurry. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Marcus Morris (vs MIL – $5,900): Needs 25.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.9 fantasy points against Milwaukee. I always like Morris better at home but he’s been very good on the road in this series. Now that the series is back in Boston, that should be even better things for his value. Or he’ll completely fall off because basketball is weird. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Al-Farouq Aminu (vs DEN – $4,900): Needs 21.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 24.5 fantasy points against Denver. If Harkless doesn’t play, it means Aminu will have to step up even more. Also, look for value on the Blazers with whoever takes the spot of Harkless if he doesn’t end up playing. I still like Aminu in this series because he’s been good against the Nuggets all season. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
