FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – May 3, 2019
High Salary C
Players costing over $6,667
Nikola Jokic (at POR – $11,600): Needs 51.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 44.3 fantasy points against Portland. Jokic was down in Game 2 because his teammates couldn’t hit shots. What can you do? The Nuggets may not find comfort in Portland but if they do, Jokic’s numbers will be back up. The Blazers still don’t have an answer for him and he will bounce back in Game 3. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Enes Kanter (vs DEN – $7,400): Needs 32.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37.3 fantasy points against Denver. Kanter continues to get it done for the Blazers and his play has been one of the most surprising things in these playoffs. He can stay on the floor and until he shows a decrease in production, you can still take him with some confidence. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Al Horford (vs MIL – $7,000): Needs 31 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 24.1 fantasy points against Milwaukee. Horford finally had an off night against the Bucks in Game 2. Don’t be too alarmed by that. He’s been good against the Bucks dating back to last year and I wouldn’t dismiss him after one game where most of the Celtics were down. He’ll be better in Boston. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
High Value C
Players costing $6,667 or under
Brook Lopez (at BOS – $5,500): Needs 24.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 16.3 fantasy points against Boston. With Mirotic in the starting lineup, Lopez isn’t quite as valuable because Mirotic is an extra floor spacer. His ceiling remains high but he hasn’t shown it in this series and now there are some concerns with his fit in the starting lineup. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
