Fantasy Football’s top 10 Winners from the 2019 NFL Draft
By Kevin Scott
Winner No. 8: Lamar Miller
Miller is not a thrilling back by any stretch of the imagination. He could be described as plodding, and did not win anyone a fantasy football championship last year. However, the Texans again passed on drafting a running back early to replace him. They still have D’Onta Foreman on the roster, but it is unknown if he will ever get his full explosiveness back after injuring his Achilles two seasons ago.
With a great offense around him, including an excellent quarterback and receivers, teams cannot stack the box to stop the run. This should mean continued production for Miller. Beyond that, in the draft the Texans drafted two offensive tackles early. This should help both the passing game and the running game, possibly leading to more production for Miller.
Though the Texans signed two undrafted free agent running backs in Karan Higdon and Damarea Crockett, they will have to fight to get on the field for this team with Super Bowl aspirations.
Miller is a solid, even if uninspiring, pick in the early to middle rounds of fantasy drafts.
