High Value Forwards/Centers

Players costing over $8,333

Andre Iguodala (at HOU – $5,800): Needs 26.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.75 fantasy points against Houston. Maybe Iguodala is important in this series for the Warriors? He’s been playing in the playoffs and Kerr’s decision to start the Hamptons 5 and play them big minutes together has certainly paid off in a big way. Until I see Iguodala have a poor game, I will trust that he’ll be able to keep it up. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

PJ Tucker (vs GS – $6,200): Needs 28.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 33.5 fantasy points against Golden State. Tucker stepped up in Game 2 because there was very little chance that he was going to be as bad as he was in Game 1. Like many of the Houston role players, he should find some comfort in being at home. He’s still the most reliable option as far as the role players go on Houston because he can do a bit of everything and you know he’ll play big minutes. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Kevon Looney (at HOU – $2,800): Needs 13 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 10.5 fantasy points against Houston. Not a lot to like at the value forward spot after Tucker. You can go with Danuel House or Gerald Green if you’re really looking to stretch. Things out. Looney is at a very low salary and gets some minutes. He’s shown he can contribute a little bit, which certainly helps. I wouldn’t expect a huge game but he should get you a little something. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.
