High Value Guards

Players costing under $12,000

Klay Thompson (at HOU – $10,500): Needs 44.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37 fantasy points against Houston. Numbers are rarely an issue for Klay because he’s going to get the shots and he can score in a variety of ways. His shot isn’t totally back to its usual form but he’s making up some value with rebounding and defense. He’s a steady hand at a nice salary and we know he can get hot at any moment. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Eric Gordon (vs GS – $8,500): Needs 36.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 14.4 fantasy points against Golden State. Gordon was a non-factor in Game 2 and that’s just kind of how it goes for Gordon. He has a high ceiling but he also has a low floor simply because he can go cold at any moment. He should find some comfort at home. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Andre Iguodala (at HOU – $9,000): Needs 38.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 33 fantasy points against Houston. There is no doubt about Iguodala’s game right now. He continues to deliver and with Kerr starting the Hamptons 5, he’s getting more playing time alongside the four All-Stars. He can do a bit of everything and maybe Warriors fans were right in saying last year would have been a sweep had Iguodala played. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
