DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – May 7, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,250
Damian Lillard (at DEN – $9,000): Needs 42.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 46.25 fantasy points against Denver. I have doubt about Lillard’s value. He’s not having the big games that you would like him to have but his salary has dropped, which is the good news. And there’s always a chance that he has the big game because he’s Damian Lillard and he’s that good. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Jamal Murray (vs POR – $6,500): Needs 30 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 46.75 fantasy points against Portland. I worried about Murray on the road and he quickly shut me up with two strong performances. This could still go poorly because he’s always a streaky player and more shots might not be a good thing for him. But he’s reliable at this salary and can always do more. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Kyle Lowry (vs PHI – $6,300): Needs 29.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.5 fantasy points against Philadelphia. Lowry was always going to bounce back in Game 4 because he’s shown that he can be a reliable option who can play his game. He won’t have the big outing that you’re probably hoping for, but if you’re looking for a decent cost saving option who will get you value and has the potential to do more based on minutes, Lowry is a strong option. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.
High Value PG
Players costing $6,250 or under
Seth Curry (at DEN – $2,900): Needs 13.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.75 fantasy points against Denver. Once again, not a lot to like at the value point guard position on Tuesday but Curry should get decent minutes once again and we know he can get hot from the field. He’s not going to hurt you at this salary either. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
