DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – May 7, 2019
High Salary SG
Players costing over $6,250
Jimmy Butler (at TOR – $7,800): Needs 35.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 51.75 fantasy points against Toronto. The Sixers will continue to need Jimmy Butler to be James Butler because Ben Simmons isn’t doing much of anything and Joel Embiid still looks banged up. He remains my favorite member of the Sixers roster and he remains at a good salary given his recent production. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
CJ McCollum (at DEN – $7,000): Needs 32.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40.25 fantasy points against Denver. McCollum keeps delivering in this series and even though I worry about his overall streakiness, he’s really proved me wrong with his play in these four games. We know he’s going to get his shots and he continues to make them at a good clip while also chipping in with rebounds. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
High Value SG
Players costing $6,250 or under
Gary Harris (vs POR – $4,800): Needs 21.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 24.25 fantasy points against Portland. Harris has been reliable in this series and the minutes say he can always do more. He’s not going to hurt you much at this salary simply because he is such a reliable option. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.
Rodney Hood (at DEN – $3,700): Needs 16.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 16 fantasy points against Denver. Hood might have been a bit down in the last game but his salary has dropped, he will continue to get the minutes, and he has been s strong in this series. Trust him to bounce back and he’s another guy who won’t hurt you at this salary given the circumstances. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
