FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – May 7, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Damian Lillard (at DEN – $9,900): Needs 42.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 46.1 fantasy points against Denver. Playing 4 OTs didn’t hurt the Nuggets/Blazers offense as much as many, myself included, thought it would. Lillard continues to be fine in this series but hasn’t been the nuclear option that he was in the first round. We know he can do it and he’s still a reliable option at this salary. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Jamal Murray (vs POR – $8,100): Needs 35 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 44 fantasy points against Portland. Murray is maybe reliable? He’s playing great at the moment and I worried about him in both road games. The confidence is there and Jamal Murray with confidence is a very scary thing. It could also be scary for the other reason in that he takes too many shots and ends up missing the majority of them. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Kyle Lowry (vs PHI – $6,900): Needs 29.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30.7 fantasy points against Philadelphia. Lowry was better in Game 4 as everyone expected him to be better in Game 4. Despite not delivering a big outing, he has continued to play solid in these playoffs, aside from a couple of rough games. He’s a reliable DFS option. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Seth Curry (at DEN – $3,800): Needs 16.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 20.1 fantasy points against Denver. Curry delivered in Game 4 partly due to having fresh legs and party because we know he can get hot from the field. I still like him as a salary saving option because the minutes should be there and we know he can shoot the ball. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
