High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Nikola Jokic (vs POR – $11,200): Needs 48.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 54.9 fantasy points against Portland. Jokic continues to deliver, even when he should have been on his death bed in Game 4. The Blazers have no answer for him and when he wants to dominate this series, he will dominate this series. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Joel Embiid (at TOR – $10,800): Needs 46.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 41.1 fantasy points against Toronto. Embiid still isn’t giving you the production you need at this salary. He’ll continue to get numbers but something is off with him. And he hasn’t shown that he can produce in Toronto. I worry about him but recognize that the ceiling is high because he is Joel Embiid. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Enes Kanter (at DEN – $7,200): Needs 31.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 16 fantasy points against Denver. Whether it was the toll of Game 3 or the shoulder, Kanter didn’t have it in Game 3. The hope is that he can bounce back and I would certainly give him this game because he has earned some trust in these playoffs with his overall play. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Marc Gasol (vs PHI – $5,500): Needs 23.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 23.5 fantasy points against Philadelphia. You know what you’re getting out of Gasol. The minutes and opportunities are there and he’s doing enough with those minutes and opportunities to get you value. He’s not a big numbers guy, but he’s a reliable numbers guy. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.
