High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,250

James Harden (at GS – $10,200): Needs 47.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 64 fantasy points against Golden State. Going on the road makes me a little more worried for Harden. Because they’ll mess with the lights or something. But overall, you can never go wrong with Harden. He will always get the shots and he’s the best scorer in the league for a reason. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Stephen Curry (vs HOU – $7,900): Needs 36.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 49.5 fantasy points against Houston. Curry is at a nice salary and while I’ve given up on his shooting coming around to where you would want it to be, he still gets plenty of buckets and makes up value in other ways. He’s a reliable option at an affordable price and the ceiling is high in case he does get hot. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Eric Gordon (at GS – $5,700): Needs 25.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30 fantasy points against Golden State. Gordon continues to provide excellent value in this series. I do worry about him a little bit in this game because the Rockets are back on the road and we know Gordon can be a bit streaky. But he’s a risk worth taking because it’s greatly paid off through the playoffs. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Austin Rivers (at GS – $3,500): Needs 16.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.5 fantasy points against Golden State. As I said prior to last game, Rivers is part of the Rockets rotation, which means he’s going to get the minutes and he’s going to get the opportunities in the Rockets offense. He’s at a great salary. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
