DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – May 8, 2019
High Salary PF
Players costing over $6,250
Kevin Durant (vs HOU – $9,300): Needs 42.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 53.75 fantasy points against Houston. It’s Kevin Durant and the Rockets still have no answer for him. Durant has will continue to get his points at will and he’ll contribute in other ways as well. With Klay and Steph still not up to their usual standards, Durant will deliver. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Draymond Green (vs HOU – $7,200): Needs 33.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 41.5 fantasy points against Houston. And much like Durant will keep delivering, Draymond will keep delivering. He’s another guy where you don’t have to worry about when it comes to getting his numbers and he’s at a good salary. There are a lot of strong value plays on Wednesday if you don’t end up grabbing one of the top guys like Durant, Harden, or Giannis. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
High Value PF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Jayson Tatum (at MIL – $5,800): Needs 26.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40.5 fantasy points against Milwaukee. Tatum has been much better in the last two games. Was that a product of being in Boston? Maybe. He didn’t look good in the games in Milwaukee and that would be my concern. Rolling with Marcus Morris, who will cost you less, might be a better option. But Tatum has a higher ceiling. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
PJ Tucker (at GS – $5,100): Needs 23.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 43 fantasy points against Golden State. The Rockets have found something with Tucker playing the small ball five. He’s doing all the rebounding work and contributing in other ways. He remains at a great salary given his current production. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
