FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – May 8, 2019
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,667
Giannis Antetkounmpo (vs BOS – $12,500): Needs 50.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 68.2 fantasy points against Boston. Giannis has been unstoppable in the past couple of games and I have no doubt about him heading into Game 5. He wants to put away the Celtics and get himself a little bit of rest before the semifinals. You can always count on Giannis to deliver. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Kevin Durant (vs HOU – $11,000): Needs 44.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 52.9 fantasy points against Houston. Durant has been one of the stars in the playoffs and with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson still struggling a bit with their shot, Durant will have to keep carrying the offense for the Warriors. There is no question about his game. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
High Value SF
Players costing $6,667 or under
Eric Gordon (at GS – $6,100): Needs 24.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.3 fantasy points against Golden State. Gordon continues to deliver for the Rockets in this series. He’s a slight risk with the series going back to Golden State and his salary jumping a bit but there’s no reason to doubt him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Gordon Hayward (at MIL – $5,000): Needs 20.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 7.6 fantasy points against Milwaukee. It’s a tough night at this position outside of the top three. You might be better off burning this second spot in order to save money elsewhere if you don’t go with Gordon and one of the two top guys. Hayward has a decent ceiling but he’s a big risk on Wednesday. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a good ceiling.
