FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – May 8, 2019
High Salary PF
Players costing over $6,667
Draymond Green (vs HOU – $9,000): Needs 39.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 41.5 fantasy points against Houston. You know what you’re getting out of Draymond. He’s a very reliable option because numbers are never an issue for him and he has a higher ceiling if he impacts the game like we know he can impact the game. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Jayson Tatum (at MIL – $7,600): Needs 33.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 39 fantasy points against Milwaukee. Tatum has been great in the last two games but he hasn’t been good in Milwaukee in this series and his salary is just teasing you. He’s a bust waiting to happen at this salary and I’m not fully sold. The ceiling is there but proceed with caution. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
PJ Tucker (at GS – $6,700): Needs 29.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 42.5 fantasy points against Golden State. Tucker has been fantastic for the majority of this series and he’s really stepped up since becoming the small ball five for the team. Even if he’s not scoring, he’s finding other ways to impact the game. I have no concerns about him heading into this one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
High Value PF
Players costing $6,667 or under
Marcus Morris (at MIL – $6,500): Needs 28.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37.8 fantasy points against Milwaukee. It’s a strong night at the power forward position. Morris has been great in this series and it doesn’t look like he is going to slow up as this series possibly ends on Wednesday. He’s a bit more of a risk than some of the others above him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
