21. J.K. Dobbins – Running back, Ohio State

Last season under Dwayne Haskins Ohio State become a pass-first team, and J.K. Dobbins rushed for nearly 400 yards less than he did his 2017 freshman season despite getting 36 more carries in 2018. Life without a mobile quarterback hampered the Buckeyes rushing attack as the coaching never adjusted their running scheme which hurt Dobbins. Now with new coach Ryan Day having a full offense to fix those issues expect Dobbins to regain that 2017 form.

Dobbins had shared carries with Mike Weber, but he will head in 2019 as the primary ball carrier for the Buckeyes. What sets Dobbins apart is his ability to find even the smallest running lane and explode through instantly. There are so many times where he turns what looks like a small gain or possible loss into a positive play.

He doesn’t have blazing speed, but he continually picks up chunk plays (23 runs of 10-plus yards) and can make guys miss with some of the best jump cuts in the nation. Dobbins also brings versatility as a pass catcher and pass protector, so his three-down ability will undoubtedly make him attractive to teams.
