9. Derrick Brown – Defensive line, Auburn

Nick Coe isn’t the only Auburn defensive lineman in position to be a future first round pick. When teams play the Tigers this season, they better think twice about running at Derrick Brown. He is a dominant force in the middle of the defense and can anchor a team’s rush defense almost by himself.

Strong hands at the point of attack allow him to control center and guards and move them when he sees the running back make his move. However, what truly sets Brown apart from other players his size (6’5″, 325 pounds) is his ability to be a productive pass rusher. Brown is so explosive off the ball than when you combine that with his power he can walk center back into the quarterback.

Brown plays with an attitude and has bad intentions when he gets hold of a ball carrier or quarterback. He is precisely the type of play any NFL team would want to anchor the middle of their defense. 2019 is Brown’s final showcase to NFL teams, and if he continues on his trajectory, he has a great chance to be the first interior line draft in 2020.
