DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – May 9, 2019
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,250
Kawhi Leonard (at PHI – $9,500): Needs 42.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 48.75 fantasy points against Philadelphia. As always, you know what you’re getting out of Kawhi. He has dominated this series and he remains the best player on the floor for either team in this series. And now he smells blood because the Sixers are on the brink. Kawhi will deliver once again. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Jimmy Butler (vs TOR – $8,000): Needs 36.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 42.25 fantasy points against Toronto. But if you want, you can save a good chunk of money and get a guy who will give you similar production. Butler’s ceiling isn’t quite as high as Kawhi’s, but he’s just as reliable and I expect him to step up in this final game. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
High Value SF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Will Barton (at POR – $4,300): Needs 19.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 17.75 fantasy points against Portland. Barton has been down since the 4 OT game but he’s still getting decent minutes and it’s clear he’s playing with a confidence that wasn’t there for most of the playoffs. He’s not exactly reliable, but the ceiling is there. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
Rodney Hood (vs DEN – $3,700): Needs 16.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 20 fantasy points against Denver. Hood continues to be a steady hand in this series. And at this salary, he’s not going to hurt you too much. I’ve been in on Hood since the start of the series and he hasn’t let me down yet. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
