Future things to look forward to
We now know the competitors in two of the other upcoming fatal four-way qualifiers, as they are set to occur next week. In one match it’s Ligero against Jordan Devlin, and in the other it’s Dave Mastiff versus Wolfgang.
Mastiff and Wolfgang have been exchanging some words as of late. Wolfgang actually called out Mastiff after Joe Coffey’s win and had to be held back because he started to go in too hard. In talking with the media, Mastiff was much more level-headed, saying he would give Wolfgang the battering of a lifetime and smash Gallus’ kingdom to bits. Should be a good one, as should Ligero/Devlin.

Another match set for next week: the debut of Ilja Dragunov. The promotional shots they’ve been using for him look utterly ridiculous, but he seems good! A high intensity action at a fast pace kind of guy.
Kay Lee Ray also remains in the NXT UK women’s title picture. Once Mastiff wrapped his interview and the cameras lingered for seemingly no reason, she showed up to say she would snatch her moment and make sure no one forgets her name. Just like we said, Toni Storm should have written her name down before doing that promo where she tried to list off all the great competitors in the NXT UK women’s division. Now she’s going to pay for it.

Probably the biggest news, though, is the announcement that Pete Dunne versus WALTER II is set for two weeks from now. Certainly the biggest NXT UK TV match to date, it also might be the best if their war at TakeOver: New York is any indication. Not much else to say about this one, other than that there was a Dunne training montage shown this week where he comes across as kind of a jerk? Like brutalizing his training partner, doing the finger snap move, going at him as if they were in full gear. Odd. Regardless, this rematch should rule.
"GIVE ME MY REMATCH."@PeteDunneYxB wants it, and @WWEUK Champion @WalterAUT seems happy to oblige. #NXTUK pic.twitter.com/Oi2a4Y80j7

Last thing for real: if Amir Jordan is going to be out a while, can we please get Kenny and KUSHIDA together as a Back to the Future-loving tag team called The Hoverboard Experience? Sorry, The Hoverboard Raiders. Think about it, WWE. We know you’re reading.
