High Salary Guards

Players costing over $12,000

James Harden (vs GS – $17,000): Needs 71.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 60.8 fantasy points against Golden State. Harden should be a force in this game. He didn’t take over like everyone expected him to do at the end of Game 5. He definitely heard the criticism and he’s going to make up for it in this one. The Warriors are also down a reliable defender with Durant out of the lineup, making switches easier for Harden. If you take him, make him the MVP. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Stephen Curry (at HOU – $14,500): Needs 61.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 36.7 fantasy points against Houston. With Durant out of the lineup, everything changes for the Warriors. And maybe that’s not such a bad thing. Not saying the Warriors are better, but they will install more of their old motion offense that carried them to 73 wins a few seasons ago. But that requires Curry to be Curry, a guy he hasn’t been for most of this series. The opportunities will certainly be there. He should be in your top 2. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Chris Paul (vs GS – $13,000): Needs 54.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30.2 fantasy points against Golden State. Chris Paul is just getting it done. It’s nothing special, but he’s getting it done. He’s not going to hurt you but you shouldn’t expect a huge outing from him either. He’s probably not worth a top 3 selection but if you want some guaranteed points, he’s fine as a UTIL option or as your third option. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.
