High Value Guards

Players costing under $12,000

Klay Thompson (at HOU – $12,500): Needs 52.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 41.3 fantasy points against Houston. Klay came alive in Game 5 and now you’re about to meet Game 6 Klay, the most unstoppable player in NBA history. With Durant out, Klay is now the second scoring option and with his shot returning to form, that’s a dangerous man. He should be in your top 3. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Andre Iguodala (at HOU – $9,500): Needs 40.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 23.3 fantasy points against Houston. Iguodala has been very good all series and will have been more opportunities with Durant out of the lineup. It also means more pressure but I still trust Iguodala to get it done. He fits perfectly with what the Warriors will want to do without Durant in the lineup. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Austin Rivers (vs GS – $8,000): Needs 33.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 8.2 fantasy points against Golden State. Rivers was down in Game 5 but I’m not too worried about him because he will continue to get minutes in this series and game. And I like him more at home, where role players simply play better. He’s a solid low-cost option but if you want to spend less, look towards Iran Shumpert. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
