DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup — May 12, 2019
High Salary SG
Players costing over $6,250
Jamal Murray (vs POR – $7,200): Needs 32.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 49 fantasy points against Portland. I love Murray in this game. He’s been great in this series and even though he’s at a higher price, it’s still not quite as high as someone like Lillard and the production could end up being similar. He’s Jamal Murray and that can be scary, but he’s proven a lot in this series. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
CJ McCollum (at DEN – 6,900): Needs 30.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 43 fantasy points against Denver. Aside from a Game 5 where the Blazers were spanked, McCollum has been good in this series. I expect him and Lillard to have big games as the Blazers look to pull off the upset. He’ll get you value if nothing else. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
High Value SG
Players costing $6,250 or under
Gary Harris (vs POR – $5,200): Needs 22.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 32.75 fantasy points against Portland. I expect Harris to deliver in this outing because he’s been reliable for the majority of this series and he’s a role player on the Nuggets who I trust to step up in the moment. He’ll hit some shots and come up with plays in other categories. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Rodney Hood (at DEN – $4,800): Needs 21.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.5 fantasy points against Denver. I’ve been in on Hood all series and he’s only let me down once. This is a big spot for him and it would be a very Hood thing for him to just disappear in Game 7 when the Blazers are going to need him the most. But I’ll keep trusting him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
