DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup — May 12, 2019
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,250
Jimmy Butler (at TOR – $7,900): Needs 35.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 47.5 fantasy points against Toronto. Butler has continued to deliver in this series and his price has actually dropped from last game, which is helpful. He’s been the best player on the Sixers in this series and I have no doubt about his ability to step up in Game 7. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Ben Simmons (at Toronto – $6,700): Needs 30.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 40 fantasy points against Toronto. Simmons finally showed up in Game 6 but can he do it again in Game 7? I have my doubts and am not ready to put full stock in him after one big outing, especially with the series back in Toronto. I still don’t like this matchup for him. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
High Value SF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Danny Green (vs PHI – $4,500): Needs 20.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 15.25 fantasy points against Philadelphia. Green has been all over the place in this series but he’s gotten consistent minutes and we know he’s going to get the opportunities. Being at home, where role players play better, I expect some shots to go in for him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Torrey Craig (vs POR – $3,300): Needs 14.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 20 fantasy points against Portland. Craig has been getting minutes throughout this series and even though he doesn’t have a high ceiling, he feels like a role player who can come up with some numbers in this game. Or you can roll the dice with Will Barton or Evan Turner, who have higher ceilings. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
