FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup — May 12, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Damian Lillard (at DEN – $9,400): Needs 38.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 41.1 fantasy points against Denver. Lillard had a great Game 6 but it didn’t translate to big DFS numbers because while his scoring was up, so were his turnovers. It’s Game 7 and Lillard is going to let loose with his scoring again. He’ll definitely get you value and if anyone is going to go off with a huge game, it’ll be Dame. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Jamal Murray (vs POR – $8,500): Needs 34.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 46.5 fantasy points against Portland. But I actually like Murray more than Lillard. He’s at a better price, he’s been giving you similar production and he’s at home. He’s the more cost-effective option on Sunday. Lillard has the higher ceiling because he’s the better player. But Murray has the better price. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Ben Simmons (at TOR – $7,700): Needs 31.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 39.6 fantasy points against Toronto. Simmons finally showed up in this series but don’t put too much stock into it. One good game doesn’t erase five bad ones, especially with the Sixers back in Toronto. The ceiling is good but this is still a poor matchup for him. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
Kyle Lowry (vs PHI – $7,100): Needs 29 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30 fantasy points against Philadelphia. If you’re looking for a cheaper option, Seth Curry should be the only value option you look for. It’s a high salary night at point guard. You know what you’re getting from Lowry on most nights. He’s been consistent and maybe he comes alive for Game 7, but I wouldn’t trust a huge outing from playoff Lowry. Value should be expected. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.
