FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup — May 12, 2019
High Salary SG
Players costing over $6,667
Jimmy Butler (at TOR – $9,900): Needs 40.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 48.2 fantasy points against Toronto. Once again, I have no doubt about Butler. His salary continues to climb but he’s the most reliable player on the Sixers and he may even have the highest ceiling, although Joel Embiid could definitely be in that argument. You can build around Butler and get a strong outing out of him. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
CJ McCollum (at DEN – $7,600): Needs 31.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 41.7 fantasy points against Denver. McCollum looked much better in Game 6 and aside from a Game 5 stinker, where everyone on the Blazers were down, he’s been very good in this series. I would expect more of the same in Game 7 as he and Dame will look to carry the scoring load once again. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
High Value SG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Gary Harris (vs POR – $6,000): Needs 24.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 33.1 fantasy points against Portland. Harris has been very good in this series and I have no doubt about him in Game 7. The Nuggets will need a big game out of him if they want to win this series and I expect him to deliver. If you’re looking for a cost-effective option at this position who can overshoot his salary, Harris is your guy. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Torrey Craig (vs POR – $4,000): Needs 16.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 20.8 fantasy points against Portland. I do like Danny Green in Game 7 if you want to spend a little bit more. But Craig has been good in the last two games and is getting plenty of minutes. He’s a cheap option who won’t totally hurt you and his minutes could mean a bigger game for him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
