DraftKings fantasy golf picks: PGA Championship 2019
DraftKings PGA Championship lineup options
As stated, we’re going to look at a couple of lineup options for DraftKings using popular strategies (Stars and Scrubs, Mid-Tier Load-up) and then I’ll offer my ideal lineup option for the PGA Championship, the one I will be playing in my contests. Sound good? Let’s get into it.
Stars and Scrubs
Tiger Woods ($11,300)
Dustin Johnson ($11,100)
Lucas Glover ($7,300)
Eddie Pepperell ($6,900)
Jorge Campillo ($6,900)
Scott Piercy ($6,500)
Getting the top two players in terms of salary is worth it with Woods and Johnson, but it does really strap you in terms of the rest of the lineup. Having said that, Glover is a former winner at Bethpage Black while Pepperell, Campillo and Piercy all have upside and solid recent form on their side.
Mid-Tier Load-up
Rickie Fowler ($9,300)
Tony Finau ($8,800)
Patrick Cantlay ($8,200)
Adam Scott ($8,100)
Bubba Watson ($8,000)
Ian Poulter ($7,600)
This is a great lineup option on DraftKings that offers a lot of what you want to see. Any guy in this lineup has an obvious path to winning the PGA Championship, but also has a relatively high floor to keep your lineup from just tanking. I wouldn’t call it my ideal lineup, but it’s hard to hate too much about what you see here.
Ideal DraftKings PGA Championship Lineup
Tiger Woods ($11,300)
Rickie Fowler ($9,300)
Patrick Cantlay ($8,200)
Gary Woodland ($7,700)
Pat Perez ($7,000)
Scott Piercy ($6,500)
I can’t quit Tiger Woods off of his Masters win playing at a course he’s won a major on. Moreover, the rest of this lineup is a combination of great recent form and high upside picks. The linchpin in this could be Woodland, who is all upside and needs to return to form, though this course suits him. Ultimately, this is the lineup I’m rolling with this week.
