High Salary Guards

Players costing over $12,000

Damian Lillard (at GS – $16,000): Needs 64.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 45 fantasy points against Denver. If you’re going to take Lillard then he should be in your top 3 but I’m not completely in love with him in this game. He showed he can be bottled up a bit in the Nuggets series and the Warriors are a better team than the Nuggets, even without Durant. And Lillard’s history against the Warriors, especially in the playoffs, speaks for itself. That said, he’s still Damian Lillard. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Stephen Curry (vs POR – $15,500): Needs 62.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 42 fantasy points against Houston. I much prefer Curry, who shouldn’t get off to a cold start at home (no one will kick him out of the gym here) and is able to unleash his super powers quicker without Durant. And his history against the Blazers in the playoffs speaks for itself. You should take him with one of your top 2 spots if you add him to your team. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

CJ McCollum (at GS – $13,000): Needs 52.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 55.3 fantasy points against Denver. McCollum really carried the Blazers in the second round and I have no more doubts about his streakiness. That said, the Warriors are going to be his toughest defensive matchup. McCollum is at a great price and we know what he’s capable of. He’s earned the benefit of the doubt in these playoffs. I like him slightly more than Lillard. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
