High Value Guards

Players costing under $12,000

Klay Thompson (vs POR – $12,500): Needs 50.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 37.4 fantasy points against Houston. Can Game 6 Klay show up in Game 1? Probably. With Durant out of the lineup, Klay is the second option and he looks more comfortable on the floor. The Blazers have battled all postseason but beating a flakey Thunder team and a young Nuggets team isn’t the same against the team that broke basketball. Klay is at a great price and will probably end up being even with McCollum and Lillard in production. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Andre Iguodala (vs POR – $10,000): Needs 40.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 35.9 fantasy points against Houston. Playoff Iguodala is a real thing and he’s made a huge impact thus far for the Warriors. He’s a guy who will get plenty of minutes and even though his salary has jumped, he’s the most reliable option outside of the top guys. He probably shouldn’t be in your top 3 but if you can find a way to add him (and you can) then he should be on your team. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Shaun Livingston (vs POR – $6,000): Needs 24.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 14.9 fantasy points against Houston. If you’re looking for a salary saving option, Livingston is a strong choice. He’s going to get decent enough minutes with Durant out of the lineup and he’ll contribute a couple of midrange buckets along with some other numbers. He’s a good punt option since he’ll actually see the court. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
