DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – May 15, 2019
High Salary Guards
Players costing over $8,333
Kyle Lowry (at MIL – $7,400): Needs 33.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30 fantasy points against Philadelphia. Lowry has been consistent in the playoffs, although now you obviously need a little bit more at this salary. He wasn’t good against the Bucks this season, failing to crack 20 fantasy points in two of three games. He’s a risk and the ceiling isn’t all that high. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a decent ceiling.
Eric Bledsoe (vs TOR – $7,000): Needs 31.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 28 fantasy points against Boston. Bledsoe wasn’t great against the Celtics but he’s never been good against the Celtics. He averaged 31.2 fantasy points in four games against the Raptors this season. His ceiling is higher than Lowry’s and he might be slightly more reliable. But his bust potential is just as high. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
Khris Middleton (vs TOR – $9,200): Needs 40.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 38.5 fantasy points against Boston. Middleton was consistent and sometimes great against Boston. But he has always owned Boston. He was solid against the Raptors this season, averaging 32.9 fantasy points in four games. They’ll need him to be better and he can step up. Bledsoe may have the higher ceiling but Middleton is the more reliable option. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
