High Value Guards

Players costing under $8,333

Malcolm Brogdon (vs TOR – $6,000): Needs 26.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.25 fantasy points against Boston. Brogdon returned against Boston and even though he didn’t see big minutes, he still produced at a solid clip. With some days of rest and a chance to get healthier, he should be closer to form in this game. He averaged 27.9 fantasy points in four games against the Raptors this season. I like him to at least give you value but the injury still looms. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.

George Hill (vs TOR – $3,400): Needs 14.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 24.25 fantasy points against Boston. Hill was good for the Bucks in the second round but with Brogdon back in the lineup, he could see a drop in minutes. Pat Connaughton is the other player who will see a tick down. But Hill is a steady veteran and the Bucks will certainly need that in this series. He’s a low-cost, low-cost captain pick. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.

Danny Green (at MIL – $4,800): Needs 21.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 12.5 fantasy points against Philadelphia. Green stepped up at moments in the second round and they’ll certainly need him to be better in the second round. The minutes will be there, which counts for something. And we know he can hit shots and chip in defensively. But he’s not the most reliable option. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.
