High Value Forwards/Centers

Players costing over $12,000

Serge Ibaka (at MIL – $8,500): Needs 34.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.1 fantasy points against Philadelphia. Ibaka started getting more minutes by the end of the Sixers series and I really like him in this series for a reason I will mention later. Ibaka averaged 43.5 fantasy points in four games against the Bucks in the regular season. His minutes are not guaranteed, which is the concern. But if he plays, he could have a huge impact. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Nikola Mirotic (vs TOR – $9,000): Needs 33.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 36.7 fantasy points against Boston. Mirotic played better as a member of the starting lineup but not consistent. I do think the Raptors will have some issues with the spread offense of the Bucks depending on the guys on the floor. I don’t love Mirotic but I do acknowledge his ceiling and think he’s worth a risk in Game 1. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Marc Gasol (at MIL – $10,000): Needs 39.7 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.2 fantasy points against Philadelphia. I don’t love Gasol in this series because I’m not sure he will be able to stay on the floor against the Bucks offense. But I acknowledge that he’s been a reliable option throughout the playoffs. Truthfully, I like Lopez a bit more because of the matchup. But maybe you’re not as sold as I am and want both teams to prove a little something to start with. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.
