The most dominant woman in NXT UK and the other most dominant woman in NXT UK

Kicking off the show is hometown hero Piper Niven taking on Jamie Hayter. You can tell how this one is going to go from the start, as even though its the opening match, Hayter is already in the ring while Niven makes her entrance.

From the jump, Hayter is very unimpressed with both Niven and the fan’s appreciation of her, so seems she’s never watched the program before. She then decides to pull on Niven’s hair and slap her in the face, so okay, she’s clearly never watched the program before. Niven responds by headbutting Hayter and hitting her with a crossbody. The NXT UK competitor who has never watched an episode of NXT UK then gets pulverized by a cannonball and turned to dust with a Michinoku Driver for the three-count.

The reported injury to Rhea Ripley seems to have put Niven in a bit of a holding pattern for now. Still, this win continues down the road of establishing Niven as dominant, and perhaps the most dominant woman in NXT UK, as they keep trying to sell us.

There was supposed to be another Women’s Division match between Xia Brookside and Killer Kelly, but it doesn’t trulyget to happen. All it really gets to be is a series of headlocks and creative escapes before Jinny interrupts. All she is there to do however, is gesture in the general direction of backstage to introduce: Jazzy Gabert!

Gabert was a stand-out in the first Mae Young Classic, despite being eliminated in the first round, which is a testament to how impressive she really is. Seemingly, she will be working as Jinny’s muscle for the time being, as the Fashionista of NXT UK sets off on her mission to “run” the Women’s Division.

Brookside and Kelly are waiting in the ring, acting like, “Yeah we got this, let’s work together.” Once Gabert gets close enough though, Kelly leaves the ring, hanging poor Brookside out to dry. RIP the Xia Brookside and Killer Kelly alliance: May 15, 2019 to a few seconds later on May 15, 2019. Much like she did against Ripley, Brookside looks like a child stacked up to Gabert. No surprise, she gets picked up and slammed to the mat rather quickly.

If we thought the competition for “most dominant woman in NXT UK” was already a tough one between Niven and Ripley; looks like Gabert’s name can be thrown into the race too.
