High Value Forwards/Centers

Players costing over $8,333

Nikola Mirotic (vs TOR – $4,800): Needs 21.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22 fantasy points against Toronto. Mirotic will continue to get minutes and opportunities with the Bucks spread offense. So there’s at least that. I suspect he will end up shooting better in Game 2 and he’ll chip in with rebounds. He’s a nice low-cost captain pick. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Brook Lopez (vs TOR – $6,600): Needs 29.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 57.25 fantasy points against Toronto. I said Lopez was going to be better in this series and I’m a genius through one game. Gasol simply can’t stick with him on offense and he finally found his shooting rhythm a bit. The opportunities will continue to be there for him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Marc Gasol (at MIL – $5,800): Needs 26.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 33 fantasy points against Milwaukee. Gasol remains consistent in getting numbers but I maintain that the Raptors need to play Ibaka more to help against the Bucks offense. But until that happens, you can keep taking Gasol, whose price has dropped despite his good outing in Game 1. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.
