High Salary Guards

Players costing over $8,333

Stephen Curry (vs POR – $11,200): Needs 49.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 58 fantasy points against Portland. You know what you’re getting out of Steph and you know it’s going to be good. There is no concern with him, even with the series shifting to Portland. They can’t have an actual answer for him because no team has an actual answer for him. Only Kevin Durant can slow down Steph Curry. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Damian Lillard (at GS – $10,400): Needs 44.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 49.25 fantasy points against Golden State. Dame looked more like himself in Game 2 as Portland made some good adjustments to get him going on offense, at least until the second half. His teammates made plays, which also helps. The role players should play better at home and I do think Dame will deliver his best outing of the series in this game. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Klay Thompson (vs POR – $9,000): Needs 38.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.75 fantasy points against Portland. Thompson shot well enough in Game 2 but didn’t contribute in other areas like he did in Game 1. He’s always been a little too tied to his scoring but I’m not worried about his scoring in this series. Not with Durant out of the lineup. Klay will continue to get it done and his salary has dropped a bit, which also helps. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
