High Value Guards

Players costing under $12,000

Klay Thompson (at POR – $12,500): Needs 50.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 28.6 fantasy points against Portland. Scoring wasn’t an issue for Thompson in Game 2 but he didn’t do enough in other areas to make up that value. I’m still not worried about him because I know the scoring will be there, he can always do other things, and the scoring could be there in a bigger way if he gets hot. I still trust him for than McCollum. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Andre Iguodala (at POR – $11,000): Needs 44.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 22.1 fantasy points against Portland. Iguodala’s salary went up based on his game-winning play. But that play counted as one steal and his DFS numbers were actually down in Game 2. I still love him because he’s going to get minutes and opportunities and he can do a bit of everything. But this makes him tougher to fit into your lineup. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Seth Curry (vs GS – $9,000): Needs 36.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 31.2 fantasy points against Golden State. Curry will continue to get minutes in this series and they will need his scoring with the way the Warriors are defending McCollum and Lillard. His salary has jumped but he’s still a salary saving option who you know is going to get minutes. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
