High Value Forwards/Centers

Players costing over $12,000

Jordan Bell (at POR – $8,000): Needs 32.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 23.1 fantasy points against Golden State. Bell made a good impact in limited minutes in Game 2. Can he do it again? I have some doubts but I like him more than Kanter, who I’ve stressed all series simply can’t play against the Warriors. The Blazers frontcourt is weak and Bell at least plays alongside three All-Stars and can do some things. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.

Meyers Leonard (vs GS – $6,000): Needs 24.3 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 16.2 fantasy points against Golden State. I thought it was going to be Collins who got the minutes and proved to be playable in this series in place of Kanter. It was Leonard. My fault. I’m not sold on anyone in the Blazers frontcourt and I don’t even mind Aminu in this spot. He’s a proven role player. The Blazers just aren’t getting enough out of any of these guys right now. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.

Kevon Looney (at POR – $10,500): Needs 42.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 21.9 fantasy points against Portland. Looney’s salary has gone way up and that’s a little concerning. It certainly lowers his ceiling and reliability. But the minutes will continue to be there and he’s simply punished the Blazers frontcourt with his scoring and rebounding. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
