High Value Guards

Players costing under $8,333

Klay Thompson (at POR – $8,400): Needs 36.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 39.25 fantasy points against Portland. Klay still didn’t shoot the ball all that well in Game 3 but he managed to do things in other areas. He’s always going to be Klay, which means he’s going to get his scoring numbers and plenty of opportunities. You rarely have to worry about Klay with Durant out of the lineup. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Shaun Livingston (at POR – $2,400): Needs 10.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 9.5 fantasy points against Golden State. It’s rough with value guards in Game 4. Rodney Hood has seemingly fallen out of the lineup, although he might see more minutes because the Blazers simply need better scoring options than they are throwing out there right now. But Livingston is going to get a guaranteed decent amount of minutes and hit some shots. If Iguodala is out, that helps him. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.

Seth Curry (vs GS – $3,400): Needs 14.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 10.75 fantasy points against Golden State. Curry was a non-factor in Game 3 which obviously didn’t help your DFS team. But he did get plenty of minutes and you can’t put up numbers if you’re not on the floor. He’s not exactly a reliable option because he’s Less Curry, but the ceiling remains good enough. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
