High Value Guards

Players costing under $12,000

CJ McCollum (vs GS – $13,000): Needs 51.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 39.1 fantasy points against Golden State. McCollum continued to play well in Game 3 and I worry about him far less than I worry about Lillard. Dame, as mentioned is bottled up and injured. McCollum is playing well right now and they’ll continue to need all they can get out of him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Alfonzo McKinnie (at POR – $6,500): Needs 25.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 17.8 fantasy points against Portland. We’re cheating here but whatever, positions don’t matter and it’s essentially a swap as McKinnie got minutes with Iggy’s injury and if Iggy is out, McKinnie will be the guy called upon once again. Jordan Bell will also see some extra minutes but McKinnie is the better option of the two. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Seth Curry (vs GS – $8,000): Needs 32.1 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 10.6 fantasy points against Golden State. Curry didn’t play well in Game 3 but he will continue to get the minutes in Game 4. Maybe the Blazers would be wiser to utilize Rodney Hood more but nothing is really changing in this series. You can go with Hood if you want to take a risk since the minutes aren’t guaranteed. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
