High Value Forwards/Centers

Players costing over $12,000

Brook Lopez (at TOR – $9,500): Needs 37.4 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 30.7 fantasy points against Toronto. Lopez continues to give solid production. It’s a battle between him and Nikola Mirotic at this position. Mirotic offers a more reliable option but Lopez offers the higher ceiling. It’s up to you on where you want to go as they are at the same salary. I prefer the higher ceiling, at least on this night. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Norman Powell (vs MIL – $8,000): Needs 32.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 29.3 fantasy points against Milwaukee. It turns out that Norman Powell is the game changer than the Raptors were looking for. Can he keep it up? I have my doubts because he’s Norman Powell but he will continue to get the minutes and opportunities and he remains at very good salary compared to the rest of the field. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Marc Gasol (vs MIL – $12,500): Needs 49.2 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 55.9 fantasy points against Toronto. Maybe Gasol can play in this series? I still have some doubts but if he’s going to hit from beyond the arc then he’ll be able to stay on the floor. The Raptors defense was also much better in guarding the Bucks spread offense. There remain some red flags but there’s a lot to like after his Game 3 performance. A solid PRO option. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
