High Value Guards

Players costing under $8,333

Eric Bledsoe (vs TOR – $5,600): Needs 24.8 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 11.75 fantasy points against Toronto. I still don’t trust Bledsoe. The ceiling is there but he’s prone to his bad games and he had a bad game in Game 4. He remains a risk just because he isn’t shown any consistency throughout the playoffs and his salary is one where you can’t quite afford a miss. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

George Hill (vs TOR – $3,600): Needs 15.9 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 20.25 fantasy points against Toronto. One guy who has remained consistent has been Hill. And he’ll be even better at home. His salary has dropped a bit which certainly helps as well. He’s a nice low-cost captain pick given his usual production and salary. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Fred VanVleet (at MIL – $2,600): Needs 11.5 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 26.25 fantasy points against Milwaukee. We’re finally cutting bait with Green and moving on to VanVleet. He’s making more out of his minutes right now and if the Raptors bench can return to last season form then we’ll be giving VanVleet a lot of credit. He’s not going to hurt you much at this salary either. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a decent ceiling.
