Value No. 2: A.J. Green (Draft.com ADP: 34 overall)

It has been a challenging past few seasons for A.J. Green. He has consistently battled nagging injuries. In 2016 he played in only nine games, but in those games he had 66 catches for almost 1,000 yards.

In 2018 he was limited to eight full games, and finished with 46 catches and almost 700 yards.

It is easy to still see the dominant talent, even though Green will turn 31 years old before this season begins. He will certainly be the No. 1 option on his offense, and he has a good rapport with Andy Dalton.

If he stays healthy, he should finish as one of the top 10 wide receivers in scoring. For now, he is being drafted late in the third round, or in the fourth. He is certainly worthy of a pick early in the third, or even in the second.

In the final week of drafts last year, he was being taken in the middle of the second round on average.

It is a mistake to refuse to draft a player where he should be drafted because of past injuries, unless those past injuries are likely to recur. In Green’s case, it sounds like he will be 100 percent healthy for the season.

On top of that, the offense is likely to be significantly better than the past few seasons with new head coach Zac Taylor having an offensive background and having just come from the Rams prolific offense.
