Fantasy Football 2019: Top 10 Values in Early Drafts
By Kevin Scott
Value No. 6: Derrius Guice (Draft.com ADP: 63 overall)
Before Guice tore his ACL in the first preseason game last year, he was being drafted in the third round. Folks saw his explosive talent, his 4.49 speed at 225 pounds, and the faith the Redskins had in him.
While an ACL tear is not ideal, it is not the career-impacter it used to be. Guice should bounce back.
The Redskins have not changed their offense, and have not added anyone who should be a serious threat to Guice. He will get every opportunity to show he is the leader of this backfield and to live up to his high draft cost.
There is also reason to believe he will succeed. The Redskins have an above average offensive line and with their new rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins, they should lean on the run to take pressure off of him.
Guice should benefit, and I would certainly be willing to spend a fifth-round pick on him to make sure he is on my team.
