Value No. 7: Jared Cook (Draft.com ADP: 74 overall)

Jared Cook is another one of those long-time players who finally seemed to break out last year. He has been touted for his exceptional physical attributes since he put on a show in the 2009 NFL Combine, but he finally was in a situation and offense that suited him.

He had 68 catches for 896 yards. Those numbers were good enough for top 5 at the position.

Whether he will repeat that in a new offense in New Orleans is uncertain, but there are many reasons to think he will. He has a better quarterback in Drew Brees, a better offensive mind in Sean Payton, and a more dynamic offensive system.

If they indeed use him the way they used Jimmy Graham, he could put up even better numbers this year.

Since the ADP shows the top three tight ends are being drafted in the first two rounds, there is a huge gap until the next set of tight ends. Most owners will need to be strategic and target the player of their choice at the right spot. I would target Cook in the sixth round.
