Fantasy Football 2019: Top 10 Values in Early Drafts
By Kevin Scott
Value No. 8: Dante Pettis (Draft.com ADP: 82 overall)
Pettis is still an off-the-radar name for many fantasy players, in large part because he was also injured for part of the year. His final stat line does not tell the whole story. Pettis showed legitimate No. 1 wide receiver traits last year, and began to dominate statistically as well.
He is an elite route runner, has great hands, and is a breakaway threat whenever he touches the ball. If he continues to improve this season, and establishes a rapport with Jimmy Garoppolo, I anticipate Pettis may be one of the greatest values of drafts this season.
People were thrown off his trail when the 49ers drafted two wide receivers in the top three rounds, but Deebo Samuel profiles as a slot receiver and Jalen Hurd profiles as an “offensive weapon” who will move all around the offense to keep defenses guessing.
Pettis is their best all-around receiver and I would be very comfortable drafting him in the sixth round to make sure he is on my team.
