21. QB Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams

Following a rookie season in which the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft threw more interceptions than touchdown passes in his seven appearances, Los Angeles Rams’ quarterback Jared Goff was already being labeled by some.

Of course, less than half a season makes a career. And fortunately for the former University of California, along came a new head coach in offensive minded Sean McVay. So following a season in which the 6-foot-4, 222-pound hurler hit on only 54.6 percent his throws for 1,089 yards, five scores and seven picks in seven games, it all changed for Goff but the Rams as well.

In his second season, the talented quarterback threw for 3,804 yards and four times as many scores (28) as interceptions (7) in 15 games for the eventual NFC West champions. McVay and Les Snead made sure to protect their prized possession. Goff was sacked only 25 times that season compared to being decked 26 times in seven games in ’16.

Add in this past season for the Super Bowl-bound Rams and the three-year pro owns a 24-7 regular-season mark as a starter. He’s thrown for a combined 8,492 yards in those contests, to go along with 60 TD passes compared to just 19 INTs. Yes, that 13-3 loss in Super Bowl LIII has likely left a bad taste in Goff’s mouth. But he’s come a long way in a relatively short time.
