Mohamed Salah

Eden Hazard isn’t the only Premier League forward on Real Madrid’s radar, as Mohamed Salah has been consistently linked to Los Blancos this summer. Salah is fresh off of another brilliant season with Liverpool, grabbing a Champions League title after coming close to gold in 2017-2018, and the world’s biggest clubs may be trying to see if they can pry the Egyptian superstar from Jurgen Klopp’s grasp.

There’s little doubt that Salah is one of the world’s most dangerous players, and he is an absolute genius of a finisher. Blessed with devastating speed, Salah can help make Madrid extremely dangerous on the counter-attack again, as he has the technical ability to finish from impossible angles to bring moves he starts to a satisfying conclusion.

Salah has scored 54 Premier League goals in the past two seasons, in addition to 15 Champions League goals in this time span. This makes him one of the deadliest scoring options in the world, and after having just one player with 10 goals in La Liga and no players with 5 Champions League goals last season (Benzema had 21 La Liga goals and 4 Champions League goals), Real need someone who can finish moves as desperately as they need someone like Eriksen, Pogba, or Hazard to create chances.

Of course, Salah’s quick thinking, pace, and class on the ball also make him liable to produce the goods as a chance creator. Although he has the killer instinct to grab goals, Salah is also an unselfish player who has fantastic chemistry with his attacking teammates and is more than willing to set them up, too. It’s hard to see him leaving Liverpool, but if Real can cough up enough money, they’ll have one of the world’s absolute best on their side.
